  • Knitted Infinity Scarf Pattern

Hi Everyone! Last week I shared some photos of the scarves I knitted while I was over in the UK. This week I want to share with you the pattern for the purple infinity scarf. This is a very simple pattern that you can knit up for a last minute present. I used large needles and thick yarn to accomplish this and it turned out really soft. I am usually a very slow knitter so this kind of knitting project was perfect for me. Let’s get started. Materials 10.0 mm (Size 15) Circular Needles 2 Skeins of Super Bulky Yarn (I used Loops and Threads Cozy Wool in Velvet) Scissors…

  • Crochet Temperature Blanket

Hi Everyone! In today’s post I wanted to share with you my year long project that I started back in February. I was inspired by The Crochet Crowd’s project of making a crochet temperature blanket. For my blanket I want to do the temperatures of each day in 2016. I am using Red Heart Super Saver, Loops and Thread, and Craft Smart yarns to keep the cost low, but I am also using some other brands if I have the colour already at home. I am using the temperature gauge on The Crochet Crowds website. This project is definitely taking a long time and since I started one month into…

    Crochet Newborn Baby Mittens Pattern

Hello Everyone! This week’s blog post will feature a crochet pattern for baby mittens that I made using Loops and Thread’s Charisma Baby yarn in Coral. They had the yarn for sale at Michael’s so I decided to get some in different shades of pink and variegatedyarn. I am also working on a baby diaper cover that I will post about in a later post. Since the yarn is thick and the mittens are only for a newborn, this project worked up really quick! Let’s get started! • Corner to Corner (C2C)–Top Gear Blanket

Hi Everyone! I am finally posting my Corner to Corner (C2C) blanket that I completed a while back. I really enjoyed this project that Sarah from Repeat Crafter Me made me interested in. I also used the instructions from The Crochet Crowd’s website. I wanted to make The Stig from the car show Top Gear with some words on top so I used this perler bead pattern and made up the lettering sections of the blanket. I couldn’t find any graph paper when I was making this so I used lined paper and made my own graph paper! I think I was prouder of that than the blanket itself! I…

  • Crochet Water Bottle Cozy Pattern – Vancouver Canucks #10 Pavel Bure

Hi Everyone! Back with another free pattern! How is everyone doing? I received a request recently to make a personalized water bottle cozy and thought it was an interesting idea. For those that don’t know, the Vancouver Canucks are a professional hockey team in the NHL and Pavel Bure was once a big part of this team. I have been a fan of this team since I can remember and really enjoyed this project. The bottle cozy uses single crochet worked in the round. For the personalization, I followed the instructions of Sarah and Alli and also some free hand crochet for the stripes. I think it turned out really…

  • Basic Crochet Cowl Pattern

Hi Everyone! Back again with another basic crochet pattern. This cowl can be adjusted to any length and width. You just have to adjust how many chains you start with and how many rows you do. I made this using Red Heart’s Boutique Unforgettable yarn in the Winery colour. This yarn is a little hard to work with, but once you get used to it, the colours of the yarn are really quite nice. • Crossover Crochet Cowl

Hello everyone! Today I will be sharing a pattern I made up that was inspired by Karin’s Tunisian Cowl. I wanted to Tunisian crochet, but I am not brave enough to try it yet so I just did this in double crochets. I recently bought an afghan crochet hook so I might use that for my first Tunisian crochet project! This project was really simple and with a little folding and sewing it changes the look of the cowl.
