• “Chummy” from Call the Midwife Amigurumi Pattern

Hi Everyone! Today I want to share with you Amy’s amigurumi pattern for Chummy from Call the Midwife! She uses cotton yarn to make this doll and it was really easy to work with. I usually use acrylic yarn to make amigurumis, but the cotton yarn was really smooth and the doll was worked up quickly. I used Bernat’s Handcrafters Cotton Yarn for this project. For the glasses I used some metal wire and my fingers to create the shape. I would recommend using thicker wire for the glasses since it is not that obvious with the thin wire I used. Here are some pictures of this project: View fullsize…

  • Fibi the Fox Lalylala Amigurumi Pattern

Hi Everyone! This week I want to share with you an amigurumi that I am very happy to have completed! It is the Fibi Fox Amigurumi that I made using Lalylala’s pattern.  I have wanted to make one of these dolls for a really long time and am very glad I finally did! The pattern was pretty straight forward to follow and the final product turned out so cute! Even the little knitted scarf was enjoyable to make. I don’t usually make amigurumi and I always forget that they work up fairly quickly. The only problem I have in making them is crocheting with a smaller hook, but you get…

  • Knitted Chicken

Hi everyone! Today I am writing about a knitting pattern I found in the book Amigurumi: Animal Friends by Michele Wilcox.  You can find this book on a lot of websites online, but my husband got it for me from Amazon, here. I have never made a knitted amigurumi before, but the animals in this book didn’t look to difficult. I have very basic knitting skills, as in I know knit and purl and have made a couple pair of not matching socks and a couple of scarves. I decided to knit the chicken since it looks so cute! I finished in a day with some pauses in between. The…

  • Crochet Fishing Game Pattern

Hi Everyone! Time for another crochet pattern! This one is probably one of my favourites. It took a little while to make all the different animals and insert the magnets, but when it was complete I was so happy I did it! When I was a kid I used to played this magnetic fishing game all the time. So when I saw this pattern from Alli Crafts, I knew I had to make it 😀 I used this pattern for the pond, but added a few more rows to make it bigger 🙂 For my version of the fishing game I made 3 fish, 1 octopus, and 1 starfish. I…

  • Mario Crochet Doll Pattern

Hi Everyone! Its been a while since I last made a post :P. Schools in full swing and there are lots of papers and projects this semester so not a lot of time to craft :(. I still have some time to bake and eat it 😀 For now I will be posting about old projects that I have completed and want to share. This post will be about the Mario Crochet Doll that I made following the pattern on Wolfdreamer’s Blog. I used a different colour for the skin because I couldn’t find a skin coloured yarn at the craft store, but I think it turned out well :).…
