• Crochet Newborn Baby Socks Pattern

Hi Everyone! I always love making baby items since they are so small and cute. They can also be completed quickly if you need a last minute baby shower gift. My friends had gone to Asia recently and brought me back this amazing alpaca yarn that I had to make baby socks with. They are so soft to the touch and I can just imagine them on a newborn. Poirot Cross Stitch

Hi Everyone! I am here with another design for a cross stitch project. My friend’s birthday was coming up and she loves Detective Poirot and I wanted to make her something so I decided to find a cross stitch pattern online. I couldn’t find anything that I wanted to make at the time so I designed my own little Detective Poirot inspired cross stitch pattern. I  used the wonderful website Stitch Fiddle to design this pattern and used the letter patterns that are available in the Stitch People book for the quote. You can find the pattern on Stitch Fiddle through this link. I was not able to include the…

  • Cross Stitch Family Portraits

Hi Everyone! I was looking around looking at different cross stitch projects to complete and saw the book for the Stitch People patterns. It is amazing! There are hundreds of different stitch people you can make so you can personalize it to pretty much anyone you’d like. I have made family and friends and have used the patterns to make special birthday gifts. Here are some pictures of my completed projects: I have only had this book for a few months, but as we you can see I have done a few portraits and have really enjoyed doing them. In the future, I want to personalize the portraits even more…

  • Peacock Cross Stitch Kit

Hi Everyone! I wanted to share with you guys my completed peacock cross stitch project. I got this project kit from Hobby Craft UK during my trip there last year. It took me quite a while to complete and it was one of my more frustrating projects because of all the details. I am happy that I finished it though and am able to share with you these pictures. Finally done! What a relief! I made a few mistakes, but I am still glad I had the patience to finish peacock. Thanks for stopping by! If you have any questions, feel free to leave me a comment below or email…

  • Cactus Cross Stitch

Hi Everyone! Welcome to my newly designed website by Jade of Jade Creative Co! I will continue to share with you my creations and patterns on this new website. Thank you for visiting! If you have been following me on Instagram, you may have noticed that I have been completing a few new cross stitch projects. I really enjoy how relaxing it is and take it up when I need a break from crocheting or knitting. I can also create personalized presents that don’t take as much time as some other crafts. I found this cactus cross stitch pattern (the website currently seems to be down) when I was searching for…

  • Melanie Ham’s Bobble Stitch Toque Pattern

Hi Everyone! Happy Canada Day! I recently got a new desktop computer and am so impressed with the speed of it! Now I can do lots of stuff rather quickly, like finding new patterns to try  out, like Melanie Ham’s Slouchy Hat Pattern. I usually have trouble creating the proper slouch for a hat, but Melanie’s pattern was easy to follow and the hat I made created a slouch that was not too limp and fit perfectly. Here are some pictures of the finished product: View fullsize View fullsize I really like this smaller bobble for the hat and it was really fun to make. I added a couple more…

Happy Easter Cross Stitch Pattern (Free)

Hi Everyone! As you know I have learning to cross stitch recently and wanted to give making patterns a try. I found this website called Stitch Fiddle that allows you to create your own patterns and share them with others. It is mostly free, but if you want to have a little more options you can pay a small yearly fee for it. You can also create crochet and knitting patterns on it so I thought it was a great idea! For my second pattern I made an Easter themed cross stitch pattern. It is pretty simple since I am just starting out, but I think it is a nice…

  • Crochet Bunny Hat and Diaper Cover Free Pattern

Hi Everyone! It is almost the long weekend and time for Easter! I received some free fuzzy pink yarn recently and was wondering what I could make with it. Then I thought since it is almost Easter, I would make a bunny rabbit baby set with a hat and diaper cover. I thought it would be difficult to crochet with this yarn, but if you don’t have to undo it, it crochets like any other yarn. This is my first time designing a diaper cover pattern so there were some sections that I had to redo and adjust. I also adjusted the baby hat pattern for the bunny hat and…

  • My First Cross Stitch Project

Hi Everyone! It is always fun to try out a new craft and find out you really enjoy it! Today I want to share with you my very first cross stitch project. I had gotten some cross stitch kits before, but always thought it would be really hard to do. Then I saw some other mini cross stitch kits on my trip to the UK at their Hobby Craft store and decided to finally give it a try. This little kit is small so it will be finished quickly and if you are just starting out, it won’t scare you away. Cross stitching is really relaxing and something I want…

  • Knitted Hat with Pom Pom Pattern

Hi Everyone! This week I want to share with you a knitted hat pattern that uses the same Loops and Threads Facet yarn that I used in last weeks infinity scarf pattern. I tried some decreasing with this pattern and think it turned out alright. I need to practice decreasing more to make it look perfectly round, but I think it looks round enough for my first try. Here is the pattern: Materials 10.0 mm (US 15) Knitting Needles Super Bulky Yarn (~60 metres/60 yards) Tapestry Needle Scissors Pattern CO 54 STs.
