• Dover, Oxford & Royal Leamington Spa

Hi Everyone! This week I won’t be sharing any new patterns since I am away on holiday in the UK! I am still working on some projects though so stay tuned! So far I have been to Dover, Oxford and Royal Leamington Spa. This trip started off with a 9 hour flight across the Atlantic Ocean that had a few spots of turbulence. I landed in the morning so we had plenty of time to get to our first stop in Dover. Once we arrived we explored the harbour outside our hotel and watched the ships move across the English Channel. The next day we took a hike on the…

    Crochet Newborn Baby Mittens Pattern

Hello Everyone! This week’s blog post will feature a crochet pattern for baby mittens that I made using Loops and Thread’s Charisma Baby yarn in Coral. They had the yarn for sale at Michael’s so I decided to get some in different shades of pink and variegatedyarn. I am also working on a baby diaper cover that I will post about in a later post. Since the yarn is thick and the mittens are only for a newborn, this project worked up really quick! Let’s get started! • Fibi the Fox Lalylala Amigurumi Pattern

Hi Everyone! This week I want to share with you an amigurumi that I am very happy to have completed! It is the Fibi Fox Amigurumi that I made using Lalylala’s pattern.  I have wanted to make one of these dolls for a really long time and am very glad I finally did! The pattern was pretty straight forward to follow and the final product turned out so cute! Even the little knitted scarf was enjoyable to make. I don’t usually make amigurumi and I always forget that they work up fairly quickly. The only problem I have in making them is crocheting with a smaller hook, but you get…

  • Corner to Corner (C2C)–Top Gear Blanket

Hi Everyone! I am finally posting my Corner to Corner (C2C) blanket that I completed a while back. I really enjoyed this project that Sarah from Repeat Crafter Me made me interested in. I also used the instructions from The Crochet Crowd’s website. I wanted to make The Stig from the car show Top Gear with some words on top so I used this perler bead pattern and made up the lettering sections of the blanket. I couldn’t find any graph paper when I was making this so I used lined paper and made my own graph paper! I think I was prouder of that than the blanket itself! I…

  • Granny Square Baby Blanket Crochet Pattern with Flowered Edge

Hi Everyone! This week’s pattern is a combination of a granny square blanket and a flowers in a row patternthat I found from the Red Heart pattern page. I had originally wanted to make this for my mom, but as you know I much prefer to make baby items. This made made completing this project much quicker than expected. I had quite a few skeins of pale yellow from a sale bag at Michael’s and decided to use that for the granny square part and other light pastel colours for the flower rows. Let’s get started! • Crochet Water Bottle Cozy Pattern – Vancouver Canucks #10 Pavel Bure

Hi Everyone! Back with another free pattern! How is everyone doing? I received a request recently to make a personalized water bottle cozy and thought it was an interesting idea. For those that don’t know, the Vancouver Canucks are a professional hockey team in the NHL and Pavel Bure was once a big part of this team. I have been a fan of this team since I can remember and really enjoyed this project. The bottle cozy uses single crochet worked in the round. For the personalization, I followed the instructions of Sarah and Alli and also some free hand crochet for the stripes. I think it turned out really…

    New Logo and Business Cards!

Hi Everyone! Today I will not be sharing my own creations, but the work of Jade Melnychuk. You may have noticed that I have changed the theme of my blog recently. I decided to change it with advice from Jade, after she designed my business cards and made me new logos! The first thing I wanted to talk about are the new logos that Jade designed for me. She asked me to pin some items on Pinterest that I liked. She used these pictures to design my new logos! I love them! It was a really quick process and she really turned my likes into something I love. Here is…

  • Basic Crochet Cowl Pattern

Hi Everyone! Back again with another basic crochet pattern. This cowl can be adjusted to any length and width. You just have to adjust how many chains you start with and how many rows you do. I made this using Red Heart’s Boutique Unforgettable yarn in the Winery colour. This yarn is a little hard to work with, but once you get used to it, the colours of the yarn are really quite nice.
