  • Ten Things I Learned from Knitting my First Sweater

Hi Everyone! As some of you may know, I recently finished my first knitted sweater using Susan’s Simple Sweater pattern by Sue Blacker. It took awhile since I am a slow knitter, but am very glad I did it. I made a few mistakes, but it’s wearable so I am very happy with that! Since this was my first big knitting project I wanted to share some of the things I learned while I made this sweater and help you in case you needed some pointers for your first knitted sweater project. So here they are: Lesson Number 1: Don’t change needles in the middle of your project. This was…

I was looking around all the shops trying to find a bucket bag to use as my project bag as I had seen quite a few crafters with one, but I couldn’t find any I liked. That was when I decided to make my own! Originally this bag was supposed to be a floor poof, but I thought it would be great to turn it into a bag. I added a pocket and key ring holder and added a few little details for hooks or pens 🙂 Here is the pattern (Written in US terms):…

    Trinity Stitch Crochet Baby Blanket

Hi Everyone! I recently finished this crochet baby blanket using Heather, from the Unraveled Mitten’s, pattern for the trinity stitch. I wanted to try a new stitch and googled some and thought Heather’s pattern was so pretty for the teal yarn I had. For the blanket I made, I casted on 150 chains as the pattern calls for chains in multiples of 2. Once you have completed the blanket to the length you would like, change the yarn to a contrasting colour and single crochet around the whole blanket. Once that is done, change the the yarn colour again and make an scalloped border. Materials5.00 mm (H) HookWorsted (4) Weight…
