Hi!

Let’s add a bit of Christmas cheer to our holiday accessories. This Christmas Scrunchie takes about 30 – 45 minutes to make so you can work this up quickly. Don’t forget to check out my other holiday patterns as well!

Let’s get started!

Christmas Scrunchie

Materials:

3.00 mm Crochet Hook
DK Yarn
Tapestry Needle
A Pair of Scissors
Hair tie

Note: The numbers in the brackets represent the number of stitches in each row

Abbreviations

CH – Chain
SC – Single Crochet (DC in UK terms)
DC – Double Crochet (TR in UK terms)
ST – Stitch
SLST – Slip Stitch
FO – Finish Off

Christmas Scrunchie

Pattern:

Make a slipknot and SLST onto hair tie.

Round 1: 42 SC around. SLST into first. (42)

Round 2: CH 2. DC 4 in same. SLST into next. *DC 5 in next. SLST in next.* Repeat around.

When doing last SLST, change to white.

Round 3: *SC in each DC. SLST into each SLST from previous round.* Repeat around.

FO.

*Can also do 3 DC instead of 5 DC to make it look less bulky*
