Easy Crochet Kitchen Scrubbie – Housewarming Crochet Gift

Hello!

I found this nylon yarn at Michaels the other day and got inspired to make a kitchen scrubbie. I had made another pattern in the past, but this yarn is definitely much easier to work with than the other nylon material I had used in the past.

Let’s start!

Kitchen Scrubbie 1

Materials: Crochet Kitchen Scrubbie

5.00 mm Hook
Nylon Stitch Soak Scrub Yarn
Scissors
Tapestry Needle

Note: The numbers in the brackets represent the number of stitches in each row

Abbreviations

CH – Chain
DC – Double Crochet (TR in UK terms)
DC2TOG – Double Crochet 2 Stitches Together (TR2TOG in UK terms)
BLO – Back Loop Only
FLO – Front Loop Only
SLST – Slip Stitch
ST(s) – Stitch(es)
FO – Finish Off

Pattern:

CH 3.

Round 1: DC 12 into 3rd CH from hook. SLST into top of CH 3. (12)

Round 2: CH 2. DC 2 in each ST. SLST into top of CH 2. (24)

Round 3: CH 2. DC in next, then DC 2 in next. Repeat around. SLST into top of CH 2. (36)

Round 4: CH 2. In BLO, DC in each ST around. SLST into top of CH 2. (36)

Round 5: CH 2. DC in next, then DC2TOG Repeat around. SLST into top of CH 2. (24)

Round 6: CH 2. DC2TOG around. SLST into top of CH 2. (12)

FO with long tail and weave in end in FLO and close the opening. Weave in ends.
