My Favorite Crochet Books – Best Crochet Books – Crochet Gift Ideas

Hello!
I have been crocheting for over 18 years now, and I have collected a few crochet books, so I thought I would share some of my favorite crochet books! There are many great ones out there, but these are just some of the ones that I have used and purchased. I will keep this page updated as I find more lovely books to share with you all.

Table of Contents: Favorite Crochet Books
Amigurumi Books:

Sarah from Repeat Crafter Me is one of my favourite crochet designers. She is also one of the first people I learned to read patterns from when I first started to crochet. Her patterns are clear, easy to follow, and you can see that in her crochet pattern book as well!

I love the Edward’s Menagerie books! Such cute makes. The Birds version has so many different birds in there! I have a picture of two of the completed birds (Huck the Pelican and Barney the Owl) on my about me page that you can check out. I also like that most patterns fit on one page since the base pattern for most of the patterns are the same. Very fun to make. Because of this, these are some of my favorite crochet books.

Curious Papaya’s book has patterns for smaller amigurumi, but they are full of details as well. You can make little accessories for some of the animals as well. It has patterns for all skill levels as well! So cute!!!

This cute book of amigurumi by Annick has some of the cutest little makes in it! The details of each pattern really make each amigurumi stand out. Perfect for making a little collection of crochet amigurumis!

Zoomigurumi 1, Zoomigurumi 2, Zoomigurumi 3
The Zoomigurumi books are so fun. With loads of animals to choose from! I love the detail of each animal, and they make the perfect little gift. Great for beginners who want to try out amigurumi for the first time.

Animal Friends of Pica Pau, Animal Friends of Pica Pau 2, Animal Friends of Pica Pau 3
The Picapau Collection of books comes with so many fun animal amigurumi patterns. They have fun little details for each doll, so you will have a blast making each of them!
Granny Square Books:

The Ultimate Granny Square Sourcebook
I ordered this granny square crochet book back in 2020 when I first saw it. It features 100 different granny squares from designers all over the world. I love having it on hand in case I need a little inspiration when make a pillow or blanket. Most of the patterns first on one page and all of them have both the written pattern and the chart for each square.
