Crochet Flower Coaster Pattern | FREE CROCHET PATTERN

Hello!

I wrote out this pattern for a crochet flower coaster a couple of years ago and made a video tutorial of it, but today I realized that I didn’t have the written pattern up on the blog anymore. So here it is! This is the perfect beginner pattern to test out your stitches and make a nice little housewarming gift.

Materials: Crochet Flower Coaster

5.00 mm (H) Hook
Worsted (4 ply) Yarn
Tapestry Needle
Scissors

Note: The numbers in the brackets represent the number of stitches in each row

Abbreviations

(SC)  – Single Crochet (DC in UK terms)
(FO) – Finish Off
(CH) – Chain
(SLST) – Slip Stitch
(HDC) – Half-Double Crochet (HTR in UK terms)
(DC) – Double Crochet (TR in UK terms)
(ST) – Stitch

Pattern:

CH 4, SLST into first Chain

Round 1: 8 DC into the middle of loop, SLST into first DC. (8)

Round 2: CH 3 (counts as a DC) DC into same ST, 2 DC in each stitch around. SLST in CH 3. (16)

Round 3: CH 3 (counts as a DC) CH 1, 2 DC in same ST as CH 3. (DC, CH 1, 2 DC) in each ST around). SLST in CH 3.

Round 4: CH 1 (counts as SC), HDC, DC, HDC, SC in same ST as CH 1. (SC,HDC,DC,HDC,SC) in each ST around. SLST in CH 1.

FO. Weave in ends.
