Newborn Santa Hat Crochet Pattern

Hi Everyone!

Christmas is just around the corner and I wanted to share with you a newborn Santa hat pattern. I love Christmas so I will be posting a few other Christmas themed items to share! This pattern is simple and would be perfect for a newborn that was born around Christmas time.

Here is the pattern:

Materials
4.00 mm (G) Hook
Medium (4) Weight Yarn (I used Red Heart Super Saver)
Scissors
Tapestry Needle
Stitch Marker

Abbreviations
SC – Single Crochet
MR – Magic Ring
SLST – Slip Stitch
CH – Chain
HDC – Half Double Crochet

Pattern
Round 1: 6 SC in a MR. SLST into 1st SC (6)

Note: Place stitch marker at the beginning of Round 2.

Round 2: CH 1. 2 SC in each ST. SLST into CH 1(12)
Round 3: CH 1. *1 SC, then 2 SC into the next ST* Repeat from * to * around. SLST into CH 1 (18) Round 4: CH 1. *1 SC in next 2 STs, then 2 SC into the next ST* Repeat from * to * around. SLST into CH 1 (24)
Round 5: CH 1. *1 SC in next 3 STs, then 2 SC into the next ST* Repeat from * to * around. SLST into CH 1 (30)
Round 6: CH 1. *1 SC in next 4 STs, then 2 SC into the next ST* Repeat from * to * around. SLST into CH 1 (36)
Round 7: CH 1. *1 SC in next 5 STs, then 2 SC into the next ST* Repeat from * to * around. SLST into CH 1 (42)
Round 8: CH 1. *1 SC in next 6 STs, then 2 SC into the next ST* Repeat from * to * around. SLST into CH 1 (48)
