Knitted Infinity Scarf Pattern

Hi Everyone!

Last week I shared some photos of the scarves I knitted while I was over in the UK. This week I want to share with you the pattern for the purple infinity scarf. This is a very simple pattern that you can knit up for a last minute present. I used large needles and thick yarn to accomplish this and it turned out really soft. I am usually a very slow knitter so this kind of knitting project was perfect for me. Let’s get started.

Materials
10.0 mm (Size 15) Circular Needles
2 Skeins of Super Bulky Yarn (I used Loops and Threads Cozy Wool in Velvet)
Scissors
Tapestry Needle

Note: If you do not have circular needles you can just use straight needles to knit the piece and sew the ends together with a tapestry needle.

Abbreviation
CO – Cast On

Pattern

Circular Needles
CO 120 Stitches.
Round 1: Connect the loop and place stitch marker. Knit around. (120)
Round 2: Purl Around. (120)
Round 3: Knit Around. (120)
Repeat Rounds 2 and 3 until you are happy with the width of your scarf. I did about 20 rounds in total.
Cast off. Weave in ends.

Straight Needles
CO 120 Stitches.
Row 1: Knit across. (120)
Repeat Row 1 until you are happy with the width of your scarf. I did 20 rounds so it will be about 20 rows in total.
Cast off. Leave a long tail to sew the ends of the scarf together to make an infinity scarf.

Finished! These patterns are really simple and would make a great beginner project for using circular or straight needles that require thicker yarn and needles. Next week I will be sharing the pattern for the other scarf I made during my trip.
