Crochet Jack-O-Lantern Pattern – Easy Fall Decorations – FREE PATTERN – Autumn Decor

Hello!

You may have seen the pattern for this Jack-O-Lantern if you follow my channel, but I also wanted to share the written pattern with you all. This was such a fun project to design!

I used stuffing and a LED tea light to make the face of the Jack-O-Lantern glow. You can also check out my other Jack-O-Lantern pattern where I used felt fabric to make the face!

Jack-O-Lantern

Materials: Jack-O-Lantern

3.00 mm Crochet Hook
DK Yarn
Tapestry Needle
A Pair of Scissors
Stuffing
LED Tea Light

Note: The numbers in the brackets represent the number of stitches in each row

Abbreviations

MR – Magic Ring
CH – Chain
SC – Single Crochet (DC in UK terms)
SC2TOG – Single crochet two stitches together (DC2TOG in UK terms)
ST – Stitch
SLST – Slip Stitch
DC – Double Crochet (TR in UK terms)
DC2TOG – Double Crochet two stitches together (TR2TOG in UK terms)
FO – Finish Off

Pattern: Jack-O-Lantern

Round 1: 12 DC in MR (12) (standing DC to start the round)

Round 2: 2 DC in each ST around. (24)

Round 3: *1 DC, 2 DC in next.* Repeat around. (36)

Round 4: DC in each. (36)

Round 5: DC in next 15, CH 7, SK 7, DC in next 14. (36)

Round 6: DC in next 18, CH 2, SK 1, DC in next 17. (35)

Round 7: DC in next 16, CH 2, SK 1, DC in next 4 (2 in CH 2 from previous round), CH 2, SK 1, DC in next 15. (35)

Round 8: DC in each ST around. (37) (One in each CH 2 space.)

Round 9: *1 DC, DC2TOG.* Repeat until there are 4 STs left. DC2TOG to more times. (24)

Round 10: DC2TOG around. (12)

Round 11: SC around. (12) Change to brown.

Round 12: SC2TOG around. (6)

Round 13: SC2TOG around. (Or SLST twice to close gap). CH 3. SLST in 2nd and 3rd from hook. (3)
FO.

Attach yarn in 1st stitch of mouth.

CH 2. SLST in 2nd.

SLST in next 5 STs of mouth. CH 2. SLST in 2nd.

SLST in next 5 (including the DC on the edge of the mouth).

CH 3. SLST into 2nd. SK 1 of mouth.

SLST into next 4 (including the DC on the edge of the mouth). FO.
