Crochet a Bell Ornament – Day 1 of 12 – Advent Calendar – Christmas Decorations – Easy Pattern
Hi!
It is time for Day 1 of my Christmas Ornament Advent Calendar! Today I am sharing the pattern for the bell ornament. You can use hook & eyes or buttons to attach this to your Christmas Tree Advent! These ornaments work up quickly so you can make them up quickly and with very little material.

3.00 mm Crochet Hook
2.00 mm Crochet Hook
DK Weight Yarn (I used Patons Astra)
Lace Weight Yarn (I used Woolike)
Tapestry Needle
A Pair of Scissors
Hook & Eyes or Buttons
Note: The numbers in the brackets represent the number of stitches in each row
Abbreviations
CH – Chain
SC – Single Crochet (DC in UK terms)
DC – Double Crochet (TR in UK terms)
ST – Stitch
SLST – Slip Stitch
FO – Finish Off
Pattern: Bell Ornament
CH 4.
Row 1: SC in 2nd CH from hook and down chain. Turn. (3)
Row 2: CH 1. 2 SC in 1st ST. SC in next. 2 SC in last ST. (5)
Row 3 – 5: CH 1. SC in each. Turn. (5)
Row 6: CH 1. 2 SC in 1st ST. SC in next 3 STs. 2 SC in last ST. (7)
Row 7: CH 1. 2 SC in 1st ST. SC in next 5 STs. 2 SC in last ST. (9)
Edging: SC 2 in same stitch as last row. SLST into next. SC 11 around top of bell. SLST into next. 2 SC in 1st ST of last row.
FO with invisible FO.
Holding the bell upside down: Attach with lace yarn and use 2 mm hook into 3rd stitch from right side.
Clapper: DC 5 in next. SLST in next. FO.
