Crochet Ghostie Bookmark – Free Crochet Pattern

Crochet Ghostie Bookmark

Hi!

I am very excited to share this pattern for the Crochet Ghostie Bookmark. I designed this simple pattern last year and finally had the time to edit, record, and write out the pattern. This pattern uses a small amount of yarn and stuffing, so you can make this quickly if you need to.

Let’s get started!

Materials:

3.00 mm (D) Crochet Hook
DK Weight (3) Yarn
Tapestry Needle
Embroidery Thread
A Pair of Scissors
Stitch Marker
Stuffing

Note: The numbers in the brackets represent the number of stitches in each row

Abbreviations

CH – Chain
MR – Magic Ring
SC – Single Crochet (DC in UK terms)
SC2TOG – Single Crochet Two Stitches Together
FLO – Front Loop Only
BLO – Back Loop Only
SLST – Slip Stitch
ST(s) – Stitch(es)
FO – Finish Off

Crochet Ghostie Bookmark 4

Pattern:

Round 1: 6 SC in MR. (6)
Round 2: 2 SC in each ST. (12)
Round 3 – 7: 1 SC in each (12)
Round 8: In BLO of round 7. SC2TOG around. (6)

Stuff and FO in FLO.

Attach yarn in front loop of round 8.

Round 8: In FLO of round 8. SLST, 3 SC in next Repeat around. FO.

Attach yarn in middle of the bottom of ghostie.

CH 60. 

Puff stitch with 9 loops on hook in 2nd CH from hook. FO.

Use black embroidery thread to sew in the eyes in Round 4.
