Crochet Christmas Pudding Applique Pattern – FREE PATTERN – Day 12 of 12 Advent Calendar

Hi!

It’s Day 12 of 12 of the Crochet Advent Calendar and it’s a Christmas Pudding Applique! We are at the last ornament for the advent calendar. It has been so much fun designing and making all these ornaments. Thank you for joining me! Of course, if you don’t have enough time to make the Christmas Tree Advent Calendar, you can always just pick and choose the ornaments you would like to make.

Let’s start crocheting!

Materials:

2.00 mm Crochet Hook
Lace Yarn (I used Woolike)
DK Yarn (I used Patons Astra)
Tapestry Needle
A Pair of Scissors
Hook and Eyes or Buttons

Note: The numbers in the brackets represent the number of stitches in each row

Abbreviations

CH – Chain
MR – Magic Ring
SC – Single Crochet (DC in UK terms)
DC – Double Crochet (TR in UK terms)
ST – Stitch
SLST – Slip Stitch
FO – Finish Off

Pattern:

With brown yarn.

Round 1: SC 6 in MR. (6)
Round 2: 2 SC in each ST around. (12)
Round 3: *1 SC, 2 SC in next* Repeat around. (18)
Round 4: *1 SC in next 2 STs, 2 SC in next.* Repeat around. (24)
Round 5: *1 SC in next 3 STs, 2 SC in next.* Repeat around. (30)
Round 6: *2 SC in next, 1 SC in next 4 STs. * Repeat around. (36)
FO with invisible FO.

Icing (using white yarn)
Round 1: SC 3 in MR. Pull ring closed. Turn. (3)
Round 2: CH 1. 2 SC in each ST around. Turn. (6)
Round 3: CH 1. 2 SC in each ST around. Turn. (12)
Round 4: CH 1. *(1 SC, 2 SC in next)* Repeat around. (18)

Continue in round after round 4. Do not turn.

SC in same ST as last SC of Round 3, 5 DC in next, SC in next, skip hole from MR, SC in next, 3 DC in next, SC in next.

FO and leave long tail.

For leaves: use DK yarn and wrap twice around small needle. Make 3 french knots.

For berries: use lace yarn and wrap twice around small needle. Make one french knot in the middle of the three leaves.

Sew icing and holly onto base of pudding. FO.
