• “Chummy” from Call the Midwife Amigurumi Pattern

Hi Everyone! Today I want to share with you Amy’s amigurumi pattern for Chummy from Call the Midwife! She uses cotton yarn to make this doll and it was really easy to work with. I usually use acrylic yarn to make amigurumis, but the cotton yarn was really smooth and the doll was worked up quickly. I used Bernat’s Handcrafters Cotton Yarn for this project. For the glasses I used some metal wire and my fingers to create the shape. I would recommend using thicker wire for the glasses since it is not that obvious with the thin wire I used. Here are some pictures of this project: View fullsize…

  • Crochet Call the Midwife Newborn Baby Blanket

Hi Everyone! It seems like everyone I know is having a baby so this week I want to share with you the Call the Midwife Newborn Baby Blanket Pattern that was designed by Rebecca of Little Monkey’s Crochet. Before I started this blanket I had never watched the TV show, but had always heard good things about it. I was definitely missing out because once I started watching it I couldn’t stop! I completed the blanket while watching the show and noticed it in many of the episodes of the show. This pattern is easy to follow and you can make it as long or wide as you want. I…

  • Knitted Scarf Pattern (Contrasting Colours)

Hi Everyone! This week I want to share the pattern for the second knitted scarf I made in the UK during my vacation. This one isn’t an infinity scarf like the previous pattern, but it is worked up quickly and if you like the look of the scarf you can sew the ends together to make an infinity scarf. I used the same needles and yarn for this project because I like how quickly I can finish knitting it. Here’s the Pattern: Materials 10.0 mm (Size 15) Needles 2 Skeins of Super Bulky Yarn (I used Loops and Threads in Mushroom and Moss Green) (82 metres ((90) yards) each) Scissors…

  • Knitted Infinity Scarf Pattern

Hi Everyone! Last week I shared some photos of the scarves I knitted while I was over in the UK. This week I want to share with you the pattern for the purple infinity scarf. This is a very simple pattern that you can knit up for a last minute present. I used large needles and thick yarn to accomplish this and it turned out really soft. I am usually a very slow knitter so this kind of knitting project was perfect for me. Let’s get started. Materials 10.0 mm (Size 15) Circular Needles 2 Skeins of Super Bulky Yarn (I used Loops and Threads Cozy Wool in Velvet) Scissors…

  • Crochet Temperature Blanket

Hi Everyone! In today’s post I wanted to share with you my year long project that I started back in February. I was inspired by The Crochet Crowd’s project of making a crochet temperature blanket. For my blanket I want to do the temperatures of each day in 2016. I am using Red Heart Super Saver, Loops and Thread, and Craft Smart yarns to keep the cost low, but I am also using some other brands if I have the colour already at home. I am using the temperature gauge on The Crochet Crowds website. This project is definitely taking a long time and since I started one month into…
