Crochet Mini Pumpkin Pattern – Easy Fall Decorations – FREE PATTERN – Autumn Decor

Hello everyone!

It’s time to share the mini pumpkin pattern that I have been making a lot of this past month. These are cute little balls of joy, that you could even string up to make a different type of garland for your autumn decorations. You could also adjust the number of chains you start with and the rows you do to make them in different sizes.

This is a really quick pattern so you will have these pumpkins ready in no time, perfect for some last -minute crafting.

Let’s start crocheting!

Materials: Mini Pumpkin

3.00 mm Crochet Hook
DK Yarn
Tapestry Needle
A Pair of Scissors
Stuffing

Note: The numbers in the brackets represent the number of stitches in each row

Abbreviations

MR – Magic Ring
CH – Chain
SC – Single Crochet (DC in UK terms)
SC2TOG – Single crochet two stitches together (DC2TOG in UK terms)
ST – Stitch
SLST – Slip Stitch
BLO – Back Loop Only
FL – Front Loop
FO – Finish Off

Pattern: Mini Pumpkin

Leaving a long tail, CH 9.

Row 1: SC in 2nd CH from hook and each stitch across. Turn. (8)

Row 2 – 15: CH 1. SC in each in BLO. Turn. (8)

SLST edging together with 8 SLST.

Use SC2TOG to close one side (8)

Change to brown yarn.

Insert hook into the top of the pumpkin and CH 2 with the brown yarn. FO.

Alternative way of closing the top and bottom of the pumpkin:
Using the tail from the beginning, sew bottom edge closed and pull it toward the top to make a slight indent at the bottom. (Go through the loops of each “bump” at the end of the rows)

For the top: Change to brown yarn after closing the edge and CH 2. FO.

Leaf

*SC 2, CH 2, SLST into 1st, SC 2. FO.* (all in a MR). Leave long tail to sew leaf onto the top of the pumpkin.
