Hi!
This week, I am sharing with you the pattern for the crochet pumpkin bookmark! You can also turn these little pumpkin earrings as well, adding a fun touch to your fall outfits. This is a smaller version of the pumpkin pattern I made last year, if you want to make a slightly larger one. The crochet pumpkin bookmark uses small hooks, but you can use larger hooks to fit with the look you want.

3.00 mm Crochet Hook
2.00 mm Crochet Hook
1.00 mm Crochet Hook
DK Weight (3) Yarn
Lace Weight Yarn
Crochet Thread
Tapestry Needle
Embroidery Thread
A Pair of Scissors
Stitch Marker
Stuffing
Optional: Jump Ring and Fish Hook if you want to make them into earrings
Note: The numbers in the brackets represent the number of stitches in each row
Abbreviations
CH – Chain
MR – Magic Ring
SC – Single Crochet (DC in UK terms)
HDC – Half-Double Crochet (HTR in UK terms)
DC – Double Crochet (TR in UK terms)
BLO – Back Loop Only
SLST – Slip Stitch
ST(s) – Stitch(es)
FO – Finish Off

Pattern:
Pumpkin (3.00 mm hook) – DK Yarn
CH 6.
Row 1: SC in 2nd CH from hook and down CH. Turn. (5)
Row 2 – 9: CH 1. SC in BLO of each ST. Turn. (5)
SLST the edges together by going through the BLO.
FO and leave long tail.
Sew one edge closed through the CH 1 loop of every other row. Stuff. Repeat the sewing for the other side. FO.

Stem (2.00 mm Hook) – Lace Weight Yarn
CH 2.
Round 1: 6 SC in 2nd CH from hook. (6) SLST into first SC.CH 5. SLST 4 down CH. Pull stem through middle.
FO and leave long tail.
Leaf (1.00 mm Hook) – Crochet Thread
CH 3.
Round 1: SC in 2nd CH from hook. SC. CH 2. SLST in 2nd CH from hook.
SLST same ST as previous SC. SC. SLST into 1st SC.
FO and leave long tail.
If you would like to make these pumpkins into earrings, you would stop here and add a jump ring and fish hook.




Leaf and Chain for Bookmark (1.00 mm Hook) – Crochet Thread
CH 6.
Round 1: SC into 2nd CH from hook. DC in next 2 STs. HDC in next. SC in last. CH 2. SLST into 1st CH. SC into same ST as SC. HDC on other side of CH. DC in next 2 STs. SC in last. SLST into first SC.
CH 90. Leave long tail to sew to bottom of pumpkin.
