Crochet Mitten Ornament – Free Pattern – Video Tutorial

Hello!
It’s already December 7th! We have been enjoying our hot chocolates, Christmas movies at home, and I have been crafting away for gifts and ornaments. This week, I want to share with you a crochet mitten ornament pattern. These took a little bit of trial and error to complete, but I got there! I think they turned out so cute!

Materials: Crochet Mitten Ornament
3.25 mm Crochet Hooks
DK Weight Yarn
Tapestry Needle
A Pair of Scissors
Note: The numbers in the brackets represent the number of stitches in each row
Abbreviations
CH – Chain
SC – Single Crochet (DC in UK terms)
SC2TOG – Single Crochet Two Stitches Together (DC2TOG in UK terms)
SK – Skip a Stitch
ST – Stitch
SLST – Slip Stitch
FO – Finish Off

Pattern: Crochet Mitten Ornament
CH 15.
Note: CH from each round doesn’t count as a SC.
SLST into first CH.
Round 1: CH 1. SC around. (15)
SLST and change colour.
Round 2 – 4: CH 1. SC around. SLST into 1st SC. (15)
Round 5: CH 1. SK 4. SC around. SLST into CH 1. (10)
Round 6 – 9: CH 1. SC around. SLST into 1st SC. (10)
Round 10: CH 1. SC2TOG around. (5)
FO in FLO.
Thumb
Attach yarn in opening of Round 5.
Round 7: SC around. (5) SC into CH 1 from Round 5.
Round 8: SC around. (5)
FO with invisible FO.
