Crochet Cat Tray Pattern – Free Pattern – Easy Crochet Pattern – Crochet Fall Pattern

Hello!

It’s September! I thought it was a good time to share my crochet cat tray pattern! You can use it to store your knick knacks or use it as a coaster for your plant pots. This pattern is made with a double layer for the base so that it is more rigid and feels stronger.

Let’s start crocheting!

Materials:

4.00 mm Crochet Hook
DK Yarn
Tapestry Needle
A Pair of Scissors

Note: The numbers in the brackets represent the number of stitches in each row

Abbreviations

CH – Chain
SC – Single Crochet (DC in UK terms)
HDC – Half-Double Crochet (HTR in UK terms)
ST – Stitch
SLST – Slip Stitch
DC – Double Crochet (TR in UK terms)
FLO – Front Loop Only
BLO – Back Loop Only
SK – Skip Stitch
TR – Treble Crochet (DTR in UK terms)
MR – Magic Ring
FO – Finish Off

Pattern:

Circle Base (make 2)
Round 1: SC 6 in MR. (6)
Round 2: 2 SC in each ST around. (12)
Round 3: *1 SC, 2 SC in next.* Repeat around. (18)
Round 4: *1 SC in next 2 STs, 2 SC in next.* Repeat around. (24)
Round 5: *1 SC in next 3 STs, 2 SC in next.* Repeat around. (30)
Round 6: *1 SC in next 4 STs, 2 SC in next.* Repeat around. (36)
Round 7: *1 SC in next 5 STs, 2 SC in next.* Repeat around. (42)
Round 8: *1 SC in next 6 STs, 2 SC in next.* Repeat around. (48)
Round 9: *1 SC in next 7 STs, 2 SC in next.* Repeat around. (54)
Round 10: *2 SC in next, 1 SC in next 8 STs.* Repeat around. (60)

FO with invisible FO.

Hold both circles with the right sides facing out

Round 11 in BLO of front piece and FLO of back piece: SC around. SLST to 1st SC.(60)

Round 12 – 14: CH 1. SC around. SLST to 1st SC. (60)

FO with invisible FO.

Ears

Attach yarn in any SC from previous round with SLST.

*DC, TR, DC. SLST in next. Turn. CH 1. SC in SLST and next 2 HDC. CH 2. SC in same. SC in HDC and SLST. SLST into same ST as last SC. FO.*

SK next 5 SC from Round 14. 

Attach yarn in 6th SC from first ear and repeat from * to *.
