Crochet Acorn and Oak Leaf Pin Pattern – Free Pattern – Video Tutorial

Welcome to my blog! This week I want to share with you the pattern for a crochet acorn and oak leaf pin. The acorn pattern is the same one I used for the Christmas Tree Advent Calendar and the Fall Garland. I just love how it turned out! The oak leaf is also fun to crochet as well.

Let’s get crocheting!

Materials: Acorn and Oak Leaf Pin

3.00 mm (D) Crochet Hook
2.00 mm Crochet Hook
DK Yarn (I used SweetGeorgia Yarns)
Lace Weight Yarn (I used Loops & Threads Woolike)
Tapestry Needle
A Pair of Scissors

Note: The numbers in the brackets represent the number of stitches in each row

Abbreviations

CH – Chain
SC – Single Crochet (DC in UK terms)
DC – Double Crochet (TR in UK terms)
HDC – Half Double Crochet (HTR in UK terms)
TR – Treble Crochet (DTR in UK terms)
ST – Stitch
SLST – Slip Stitch
SK – Skip
FO – Finish Off

Pattern:

Oak Leaf – 3.00 mm Hook and DK Yarn.

CH 12 loosely.

SLST in 2nd CH from hook and next 3.

CH 1. HDC 2 in next. CH 1. SLST in next. CH 2.

DC 2 in next. CH 2. SLST in next. CH 3. TR 2 in next.

CH 3. SLST in next. DC in same. DC 2 in next.

DC in next. SLST in same. CH 3. TR 2 in next.

CH 3. SLST in next. CH 2. DC 2 in next. CH 2.

SLST in next. CH 1. HDC 2 in next. CH 1. SLST in next. FO.

Crochet Acorn and Oak Leaf Pin complete!

I used a bit of fabric stiffener to help the pin hold it’s shape, but I think if you used a cotton yarn it should also hold it’s shape just fine!
