
DIY Crochet Pouch: Free Pattern for Wedding & Party Favors | Crochet Video Tutorial

Hello!
I’m back again with another crochet pouch pattern. This one comes with fewer gaps between the corners. You can check out my granny square pouch pattern from last week here. I used light fingering yarn for these pouches, but you can change the hook and yarn size to make pouches in all types of sizes! Make this for your next party or as cute wedding favors!

Materials: Crochet Pouch
3.50 mm Crochet Hook
Light Fingering Weight Yarn
Tapestry Needle
A Pair of Scissors
Stitch Marker
Ribbon – optional
Note: The numbers in the brackets represent the number of stitches in each round.
Abbreviations
CH – Chain
SC – Single Crochet (DC in UK terms)
DC – Double Crochet (TR in UK terms)
SLST – Slip Stitch
ST(s) – Stitch(es)
FO – Finish Off

Pattern: Crochet Pouch Party Favor
Granny Square (make 2) – Round 1: Chain 3 (counts as a DC), DC two more times in 3rd CH from hook, CH 2, 3 DC, CH 2, 3 DC, CH 2, 3 DC, CH 2, SLST to beginning CH.
Round 2: CH 2 (counts as DC), DC two more times in previous CH 2 space. *DC 3 in next 3 DC. CH 1. DC 3 in corner. CH 2. DC in same space.* (repeat 3 times). DC 3 in corner space. CH 2. SLST in beginning CH.
Round 3: CH 2 (counts as DC), DC two more times in previous CH 2 space. DC in next 7 STs. *DC 3 in corner space. CH 2. DC 3 in same space. DC in next 9 DC *(repeat 3 times). DC 3 in corner space. CH 2.
FO with invisble FO.
Border holding both granny square together: CH 1. SC 2 in CH 2 space. SC around three sides of the two squares evenly. SC 2 in last corner of third side (55). *Make 3 SC in the bottom corners.

For opening – Round 1: Chain 1. SC 34 around the opening evenly. Note: Make sure one SC in each of the border STS and one in each CH opening on the corners.
Round 2 – 4: CH 2. DC around. (26) Slst into CH 2. FO with invisible FO.
Loop
Chain 80. FO.
Weave in between the DC of the row after the sc round, leaving 2 DC at the front of the bag.
Tie to finish.
