Butterfly Applique

Hello!

With Spring coming to a close, I wanted to share this pattern for a butterfly applique! It was so much fun to design and I love how the contrasting colours look. You can string a few of these together and make a fun garland with it. Maybe with a daisy or sunflower in between each.

Let’s get started!

Materials:

3.00 mm Crochet Hook
DK Weight Yarn
Tapestry Needle
A Pair of Scissors
Stitch Marker
Small Safety Pin (7/8″) Optional

Note: The numbers in the brackets represent the number of stitches in each round.

Abbreviations

CH – Chain
SC – Single Crochet (DC in UK terms)
DC – Double Crochet (TR in UK terms)
TR – Treble Crochet (DTR in UK terms)
SLST – Slip Stitch
ST(s) – Stitch(es)
