Crochet Strawberry Bag Charm Pattern – Free Pattern – Video Tutorial – Strawberry Key Chain Charm

Hello!

This strawberry bag charm is one of my more recent makes and I think one of my cutest makes as well! It only uses a small amount of yarn and you can adjust the length of the loop to your liking. This is the perfect springtime accessory!

Let’s get started!

Materials:

3.00 mm Crochet Hook
2.00 mm Crochet Hook
DK Yarn
Lace Weight Yarn
Tapestry Needle
A Pair of Scissors
Stuffing
Keychain Hook (optional)

Note: The numbers in the brackets represent the number of stitches in each row

Abbreviations

CH – Chain
SC – Single Crochet (DC in UK terms)
SC2TOG – Single Crochet Two Stitches Together (DC2TOG in UK terms)
DC – Double Crochet (TR in UK terms)
SLST – Slip Stitch
SK – Skip
FLO – Front Loop Only
ST(s) – Stitch(es)
FO – Finish Off

Pattern:

Flower – 2.00 mm Hook with Lace weight yarn

CH 3. In 2nd chain from hook: DC, CH 2. SLST into middle.
*CH 2, DC, CH 2, SLST into middle* Repeat around until you have 5 petals.

Leave long tail for sewing.

French knot for centre. Wrap around 3 times with a small sewing needle.

Chain loop for bag charm – 3.00 mm hook with DK yarn

CH 50 (or however long you want it.) FO and do a double knot at the end.

Leaves – 3.00 mm hook with DK yarn

CH 3.

Round 1 – (All in 2nd CH from hook.): DC, CH 2. SLST. *CH 2, DC, CH 2, SLST* Repeat 3 times. (4 leaves) FO.

Strawberry – 3.00 mm hook and DK yarn

Round 1: 6 SC in MR. (6)
Round 2: SC 2 in each ST around. (12)
Round 3 – 6: SC in each ST around. (12)
Round 7: *SC2TOG in FLO.* Repeat around. (6)

Using white yarn and sewing needle, sew some seeds around the strawberry. Stuff with stuffing.

Insert chain loop into the opening of the strawberry.

FO in FLO. Note: don’t close until stem (chain loop) is inserted in the opening for the bag charm.

Sew the strawberry flower onto the leaves or chain loop.

Optional: You can loop the strawberry bag charm around a key ring or clasp if you would like to turn it into a keychain charm.
