Crochet a Sunflower Bag Charm – Free Crochet Pattern – Video Tutorial

To continue with more bag charm patterns, this week I want to share the sunflower bag charm! This is a very quick and cute pattern that you can make as a cute gift or for yourself. You can also try out my patterns for the Daisy Flower Bag Charm and the Toadstool Bag Charm Chapstick Holder.

Materials:
3.25 mm Crochet Hook
DK Weight Yarn
Tapestry Needle
A Pair of Scissors
Stuffing
Note: The numbers in the brackets represent the number of stitches in each row
Abbreviations
MR – Magic Ring
CH – Chain
SC – Single Crochet (DC in UK terms)
TR – Treble Crochet (DTR in UK terms)
ST – Stitch
SLST – Slip Stitch
FO – Finish Off
Pattern:
Updated: August 22, 2025
Centre (make 2) – Using light brown yarn:
Round 1: 6 SC in MR (6)
Round 2: 2 SC in each (12)
Round 3: 1 SC, 2 SC in next. Repeat around. (18)
FO with invisible FO.
Petals – Using golden yellow yarn:
Hold both circles together and work petals around all four loops.
SLST into any ST on both discs.
Round 4: CH 3. TR. CH 2. SLST into 2nd CH from hook. TR. CH 3. SLST into same ST. SK 1.
*SLST into next stitch of front stitch. CH 3. (TR. CH 2. SLST into 2nd CH from hook. TR. CH 3. SLST into same ST.) all in all four loops. SK 1.* Repeat around. (9 Petals)
Note: when you reach the 6th or 7th petal, stuff the flower.
SLST into 1st ST. CH 34 for the loop and SLST back into the same ST. FO and weave in ends.
