Simple Crochet Cowl for Beginners – Free Pattern – Video Tutorial

Hi!

This week I wanted to share this simple crochet cowl pattern with you all. It is perfect for beginners or makes a quick last-minute gift! This uses worsted weight yarn and you can make it as long or as short as you would like it. You may also want to check out my other cowl patterns here!

Let’s get started!

Materials:

5.00 mm Crochet Hook
Worsted Weight Yarn
Tapestry Needle
A Pair of Scissors

Note: The numbers in the brackets represent the number of stitches in each row

Abbreviations

CH – Chain
SC – Single Crochet (DC in UK terms)
BLO – Back Loop Only
ST – Stitch
SLST – Slip Stitch
FO – Finish Off

Pattern:

CH 31.

Row 1: SC in 2nd from hook and down row. Turn. (30)
Row 2 – 77: CH 1. SC in BLO in each ST across. Turn. (30)
Row 78: CH 1. SLST Back Loop (BL) and Beginning CH STs together. (30)

FO and weave in ends.
