Crochet Candy Applique Pattern – FREE PATTERN – Day 9 of 12 Advent Calendar
Hi!
It’s Day 9 of 12 of the Crochet Advent Calendar and it’s a Candy Applique! These are so fun to make and once you make the tree you can also add the holly applique. We are almost done with the ornaments for the calendar! I might get a nice little surprise to add to the finished calendar as well!

2.00 mm Crochet Hook
Lace Yarn (I used Woolike)
Tapestry Needle
A Pair of Scissors
Hook and Eyes or Buttons
Note: The numbers in the brackets represent the number of stitches in each row
Abbreviations
CH – Chain
MR – Magic Ring
SC – Single Crochet (DC in UK terms)
DC – Double Crochet (TR in UK terms)
SC2TOG – Single Crochet Two Stitches Together (DC2TOG in UK terms)
ST – Stitch
SLST – Slip Stitch
FO – Finish Off
Pattern: Candy Applique
With white yarn.
In MR: DC, CH 2, SLST into 2nd CH from hook, DC 3, CH 2, SLST into 2nd CH from hook, DC, SLST into first DC.
Row 1: CH 1, SC 2 into hole of MR. Turn. (2)
Row 2: CH 1. 2 SC in each ST. (4)
Change to red yarn.
Row 3: CH 1. 2 SC in 1st ST, SC in next 2 STs, 2 SC in last ST. Turn. (6)
Row 4: CH 1. 2 SC in 1st ST, SC in next 4 STs, 2 SC in last ST. Turn. (8)
Change to white yarn.
Row 5 – 6: CH 1. SC in each ST across. Turn. (8)
Change to red yarn.
Row 7 – 8: CH 1. SC in each ST across. Turn. (8)
Change to white yarn.
Row 9 – 10: CH 1. SC in each ST across. Turn. (8)
Change to red yarn.
Row 11: CH 1. SC2TOG, SC in next 4 STs, SC2TOG. Turn. (6)
Row 12: CH 1. SC2TOG, SC in next 2 STs, SC2TOG. Turn. (4)
Change to white yarn.
Row 13: CH 1. SC2TOG twice. Turn. (2)
Row 14: CH 1. SC2TOG. Turn. (1)
Row 15: (CG 1. DC, CH 2, SLST into 2nd CH from hook, DC 3, CH 2, SLST into 2nd CH from hook, DC. SLST.) all in STs from Round 14.
FO. Weave in ends.
