Hello!

Welcome to another free crochet pattern blog post! This time I will be sharing an e-reader case crochet pattern that you can customize to fit your e-reader. My e-reader is the Kobo Aura H2O (measures: 6.8 by 5.1 by 0.3 inches (HWD)), but you can adjust the pattern by changing the number of beginning chains to fit your e-reader.

Materials: E-Reader Case Crochet Pattern

  • 5.00 mm (H) and 3.125 (D) mm Hook
  • Worsted Weight (I used Lion Brand Pound of Love)
  • Scissors
  • Stitch Marker
  • Tapestry Needle

Abbreviations: US Terms

CH – ChainSC – Single CrochetST(s) – Stitch(es)
HDC – Half Double CrochetBLO – Back Loop OnlySK – Skip a stitch
SLST – Slip StichFO – Finish Off

Shell Stitch: 3 DC in same stitch.

Pattern: E-Reader Case Crochet Pattern

CH 20. (You can chain more or less depending on the size of your e-reader.)

Round 1: SC 2 in 2nd CH from hook. 18 SC down the chain. SC 3 in last ST. 18 SC down the other side of the chain. SC 1 in last ST. (40)

Place Stitch Marker.

Round 2: HDC in each SC around in BLO. (40)

Round 3 – 22: HDC in each HDC around in both loops. (40)

Round 23: HDC in next 4 STs. CH 1. SK 1. HDC in next 19 STs. SLST in next BLO. CH 13. SLST in same BLO. HDC in next 19 STs.

Do not finish off. Continue to border.

Border: Switch to 3.125 (D) mm hook.

Round 24: *SLST in next. Shell Stitch in next.* Repeat until you reach the button hole. SLST into button hole. Shell Stitch in next. *SLST. Shell Stitch in next.* Repeat until you reach the button loop. SLST into both loops of previous round. Shell Stitch in next. *SLST in next. Shell Stitch in next.* Repeat until you reach the last stitch. FO with finish off. (20 shells total)

E-Reader Case Complete! Thank you for trying out this e-reader case crochet pattern. As you can see, this is a very simple pattern, but it adds a bit of fun to the black that most e-readers are.
