Bi-Weekly Pattern Share

Hi everyone!

Time to share some patterns I have been following for the past couple of weeks and a project that I want to get started soon:) Here are the patterns.

The first pattern I want to share is a Lion Brand pattern that I found while looking for a scarf pattern for men. You can find the pattern on Lion Brand’s website here. It was really easy and it actually looks like waffles. Yummy!

Here are my results:

I really the texture this pattern gives and it’s just double crochets so it was a simple and quick project.

The second pattern I want to share was inspired by Stacey’s Vintage Style Scarf that is found on her The Veggie Mama blog. I like the look of the scarf, but didn’t have the right yarn at the time I was making it so I made up my own pattern. Here is what I did differently…

For Scarf

CH 28

Row 1: DC in 4th CH from hook and DC till  the end. Turn. (24).

Row 2: CH 3. DC in each ST across (24).

Row 3 – desired length: Repeat Row 2 until desired length.

Finish off. Weave in ends.

I just did the pattern until I ran out of yarn 😛

For the shell stitch edge, I followed Staci’s Very Pink Knit Youtube video and for the flowers I used the following patterns.

For Small Flower

Round 1: 6 DC in MR (6).

Round 2: 2 DC in each DC from Round 1. SLST to  (12).

Round 3: CH 3. 2 DC in same ST. SC into next ST. *3 DC in next ST, SC into next ST.* Repeat from * to * around. SLST into first ST.

Finish off. Leave a tail to sew flower onto scarf.

For Big Flower

Round 1: 6 DC in MR (6).

Round 2: 2 DC in each DC from Round 1. SLST to first ST (12).

Round 3: 2 DC in each DC from Round 2. SLST to first ST (24).

Round 3: CH 3. 2 DC in same ST. SC into next ST. *3 DC in next ST, SC into next ST.* Repeat from * to * around. SLST into first ST.

Finish off. Leave a tail to sew flower onto scarf.

That’s it! I think it will look great with different colour combinations 🙂

I also want to try the original pattern when I have the right yarn because it looks really soft, but I think this pattern looks nice too 🙂

The last project I want to share is something that I want to start soon and have been eyeing for awhile. It is a Corner to Corner Baby Blanket Pattern that I saw on The Crochet Crowds blog. I have never made a Corner to Corner blanket before, but Sarah has been posting Corner to Corner Christmas Themed Squares for a blanket on her Repeat Crafter Me Blog and it made me really want to make one. I will be posting pictures of my progress when I start the baby blanket 🙂 I have to finish my bobble stitch pixel blanket first though…

Those are the patterns for this pattern share. Good luck if you want to try them for yourself!

Thanks for visiting my blog!

  1. I just completed a slouch hat with the same stitch in your first pattern. I just love the way that it looks so now I have to find other ways to use it. Looks great!
