Mochi Brownies with Green Tea Powder Recipe

Hi Everyone!

I was looking through some past recipes that I had made and saw one that I really enjoyed. I made these with my cousin a long time ago, but I still remember how delicious they were! For those that have never tried mochi it is made from rice flour and has a chewy texture. People use it for a lot of things like ice cream wrapped in mochi and mochi balls.

The chewiness and the chocolate chips really compliment each other. I didn’t find the brownies too sweet since the green tea powder is sugarless. We used green tea powder that we got when we went on a trip to Taiwan a while ago. There is so much good food there! I want to go back soon 🙂

My cousin found the recipe over at Azusa’s Humble Bean Blog. So so good!

Here are the pictures of the finished product 😛

Sweetheart Bunny Pattern

Hi Everyone!

I hope you are all enjoying the fall weather 🙂 The leaves are turning yellow and falling over here on the Westcoast of Canada. I just went on a forest walk to identify some trees for school. It isn’t too cold since the sun is out and there are a lot of hikers around 🙂 It’s almost Halloween and then it will be Christmas! My favourite holiday!

On today’s post I wanted to share Stephanie’s Sweetheart Bunny pattern from her All About Ami blog. You will probably see me blogging about a lot of her patterns since I like them so much 😛 Her pattern is great, but I must have crocheted the bunny a little too loosely because I ended up with a very big sweetheart bunny 🙂 My sister also made one, but she did it with the correct tension and it is much smaller. Either way I like the resulting giant sweetheart bunny 🙂

I gave it to my boyfriend’s niece for Christmas last year and I wanted to share it with you all 🙂

Here are the pictures of my big sweetheart bunny and a picture comparing it to the one my sister made 😛

I hope you enjoy making your own sweetheart bunny, not matter how big or small it is 😀

Butternut Squash Soup Recipe

Hi Everyone!

My aunt recently gave me a gigantic butternut squash and I had a big piece of it that I wanted to finish before it went bad. I used it for a salad and just sautéed with some salt and pepper and it was delicious! I have never tried cooking with it before this and it was so easy!

I wanted to try other recipes using the squash since I had a lot leftover after using about 1/3 of it for the salad so I searched up a butternut squash soup recipe. I found a lot! Most of the ones I found used vegetable or chicken stock, but I didn’t have that on hand. I finally found one that just used water and it was delicious! I found the recipe over at Michelle’s Brown Eyed Baker Blog. I never made soup like this before so it was fun to try. It didn’t take long and I was happy with the results 🙂

Here are the pictures of my progress 😛
